.....................and I would walk 500 more!

Were we lucky or what?? We went to the Cornbury festival on Saturday and managed to get a whole day of glorious sunshine amongst weeks of rain and clouds! The sky was blue, the music was great, the food was fabulous and even the toilets were clean(ish)!

The Proclaimers, The Waterboys and David Gray were among the bands on offer and all of them were brilliant. After an initial hiccup in behaviour (from both mother and son, over a trampoline!) our children were angels and it was great to see them all dancing to music we love. I would highly recommend it to everyone as a great festival to visit with (or without) kids.

Needless to say, brainless moron that I am I forgot the camera so this is all I can offer.................

Now feast your eyes on this little lot - does everyone else have drawers like this, in every room, drawers that you daren't open unless you're looking hopefully (and in vain) for that last AA battery or a plaster? I'm sure if I count up on my death bed I'll have wasted about 4 1/2 years of my life looking through drawers, under sofas, behind beds etc.! How I envy those organised people who open their drawers and have only one or two items laid out neatly and in a logical order, who possess sock dividers and who never ever forget a birthday, anniversary or to MOT the car! Chaos rules in this house, every morning I can be heard screeching down the street to "Get your shoes on , where are your shoes, where did you last see them, oh b....... we're late!!!"

Finally a little picture of the aftermath of a session with scissors and tissue paper with Kitty, note the Barbie scooter for quick exit before Mummy makes her tidy up..........

....................too late!! They have to earn their keep you know!

We have loads of drawers like this, jammed full of useful things such as odd batteries, sellotape, take-away menus, fairy cake cases (squashed), wooden skewers, pegs and bits of string. When we designed the kitchen we had a set of extra small drawers in an awkward corner. Trouble is they are TOO useful! We need about a hundred more! Roland also has a large drawer for tools on the kitchen too. Groan!
Love the children's shoes nailed to the wall -next time the children are naughty, you can threaten to nail them to the wall as well!

when I retired the first thing I decided to do was to sort out and tidy drawers! I have done some and spent so much time saying oh so thats where that went and I've found the photos I was looking for etc I never did do many everyone except THE PERFECT HOUSEWIFE has drawers like this and isnt she annoying!!I cant find things there really is no excuse for me now. But I recently bought a new pair of trousers too long left them in the dinning room (yes I know) to shorten and have tidied them away Who knows where they are now In a black hole with all the odd socks!

Sounds like a great day out, The Waterboys Whole of the Moon is one of my fav songs, reminds me of being a student dancing in a club in my wellies as it was snowing outside and we had to walk home! Long time ago now.
A think those drawers make life less stressful as you can shove things in and shut the drawer and hey presto ...the house is tidier!

Your drawers could be my drawers! Ony now mine are full, so I've got some little boxes. And I swear they are breeding. Oh to be a minimalist.

I'll never show you my drawers!!!!! I think I'm the only one brave enough to open them these days, As far as my husband's concerned if what you're looking for is not at the front then it's not there!

This post made me smile! I have a kitchen drawer like this and every time I attempt to tidy it, somebody who shall remain nameless sabotages my plans and stuffs it full of 'things that might come in handy'!!

OH my drawers are a site I tell you!! Filled to the brim with all sorts of things...probably if I would take the time to clean them I would not need half the stuff in them!

I also envy those organized people in life... I like to say I am an unorganized person always trying to be organized. lol

Oh, dear, all my drawers look like that. I did buy sock dividers once and spent ages snapping all those little plastic wiggles together. It didn't help, I still could never find what I wanted - but now instead of just sifting through the drawerful I had to empty each little compartment.

I fear I was just born untidy, and so were my DH and both children - we are doomed to drown under a sea of clutter!
