How many cushions?.............

The answer is never enough! Just thought I'd squeeze a quick post in before the weekend because we're away from tomorrow. The excitement in the house is palpable because we're going to stay in one of these..........
Let's hope the sun keeps shining as much as it is today! If you're interested their website is http://featherdownfarms.co.uk

One thing I wanted to show you before I go is one of the things Andrea is making for our craft venture together. The boxes come as a set of two and are decorated in various ways. This is one of the first prototypes and I think it looks lovely! We'd love some feedback.
More exciting news, Andrea has today placed her order to become a stockist of Greengate. Anybody who's aware of their products will know how few people stock it in the UK so it's a very exciting time for her, I'm sure it's going to be a big hit.

I'll finish with a couple of shots of, yes you've guessed it, cushions.................

These are my latest creations for the kitchen chairs, just to annoy Ian and the children! The mutterings about b***** things in the way can be heard in just about every room in the house, apart from the bathroom. Ummmm where could I squeeze a cushion in there, maybe on top of the loo!!

Finally, bargain of the week, ie. FREE! Ian was clearing out the car last night and started making weird head gestures to me. Thinking he was having some sort of funny turn I shouted "What's the matter" to which he pulled an abandoned chair out of the nearby alleyway. He then had to run up the street clutching it, hoping no-one spotted him!

A can of spray paint and one of my vintage fabric cushions later we have this, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Needless to say no "before" pics because I was too excited and needed to get it done before school home time.

Hope you all have a lovely, relaxing weekend. See you next week...............

Hi, Julia, the boxes are lovely...sure they'll be popular. And your chair was a great find...it looks really pretty with your cushions. I've got one in our bedroom, unfortunately always covered with Les' discarded clothes and Noreen has recently renovated one very similar that she put on the blog a while ago.

I love the boxes, I think they look really clean & fresh looking, and not to frilly.

My husband only comes back with dirty overalls when he goes to clean out the car!

Lovely, lovely cushions and boxes.

Is that the same place Ali went to? It looks so very cool. Keeping everything crossed for wonderful weather ...

I love the boxes Julia. Will there be any slighty boyish versions? I'm on the look out for some memory boxes for my two boys and letters with checks, spots, old fashioned toys, planes etc would go down a treat. There's a real shortage of vintage-style boys things I think.
What find that little chair is, so sweet!
Enjoy the farm break, what a treat, hope you get lots of chances to cosy up around that fabulous stove.

Love the chair. I have 'found' several myself that are awaiting 'doing up'. And as for cushions - love them, love them, love them. Can a house really have too many cushions or chairs!?!

LOVE the chair, and the cushions. I can totally relate to others in the house having the annoyance factor, but I can't understand it myself ... a cushion lover from way back!

Lucky you, I found out about the featherdown farms a few months ago, and have been wanting to go to one for a holiday since. Let us know whether it is a good as it sounds.
The boxes are so pretty, not a ballerina or fairy in sight!
Glad I'm not the only one who get grumbled at about too many cushions.

Love the tale about the chair, please can Ian come and stay with us a while....a new neighbour moved into a nearby bungalow a couple of weeks ago evidently she must have had to much furniture as the suplus was put outside. Every day I had to pass by when I took my dogs and each day I tried to pluck up the courage to knock on the door and ask if the sweet little table which was ripe for painting was heading for the tip. It took me 5 days to decide to stop being a sissy and ask...when I got there the refuse lorry was just heading down the street! Since then another neighbour told me her son had put the spare bits out for anyone to take if they wanted them, arrgghh why didn't he leave a notice. Next time I ask :o)
