tagged again...............

Lovely Lucy over at attic24 has tagged me with the "5 facts about you" tag, so here goes.......

:: along with most builders but almost nobody else I take sugar in my tea. I love these sugar cubes we got in France, they have the exact quantity of sugar..............perfect.
:: I briefly attended university after a gap year in which I worked in both insurance and banking, exciting eh! I decided in my infinite wisdom to do a degree in social work a long way from home, it didn't work out, I was working in a grocery shop by Christmas. Still, at least I got free satsumas!

:: I wet my pants in New York. We arrived carrying two incredibly heavy rucksacks and I sat on a very low wall and couldn't get up. I laughed so much I lost all control..........and that was before children!

:: I have to have my chocolate straight from the freezer, even slightly gooey, melted chocolate makes me feel queazy. My teeth won't thank me for it in later life, I'm sure.

:: My brief glimpse of a career in the late 1980's came when I moved to Middlesex (the nearest I ever got to London) and worked for a large multinational company. It didn't last long, the relationship I was in broke down and I scuttled home to my parents quick sharp. Get the impression I'm not really a high flier?!

So, there you go, a few snippets about me. I forgot to pass on the garden tag so I'll lump the two together and ask Lesley, Suzie, Claire, Anna and Sairer. Choose either one girls because I know some of you have already done one...........................
See you all later in the week!

I have to have 2 sugars in tea and coffee, it tastes horrible without! My MIL used to make me tea with only one spoonful, it drove me mad! She thought she was doing me good but the truth is I never enjoyed a cup of tea she ever made me :)

oh LOL Julia at you in New York!
The man who came to sweep our chimney asked for FOUR sugars in his tea, so you can feel very virtuous with one lump.
Loved your five facts, you always do come across as such a sweetheart I have to say
:o)x

I use to love sugar in my tea but now can't drink it with any sugar. However my need for chocolate has made sure I maintain my sugar levels at all times!! Glad I'm not the only one who pees her pants!

Love the pics on your blog, very pretty.
The New York incident was very funny although is must have been rather damp and uncomfortable at the time. They say anything goes in New York!

OK...confession time from me, I've also laughed so much I couldn't hold on...and I can't blame children for it either!

I'm a 2 sugar girls (sometimes 3 if it's extra strong - shameful, I know!)

What a brilliant post Julia, great reading! I am absolutely a sugar in hot drinks girl too. I take two the reaction I get from people is amazing - you'd think I was mainlining hard drugs from the disapproval! Seeing as I don't go out much, don't buy much (well only charity shop treasures) can't afford a holiday and don't even drink anymore that I'd be allowed a bit of a treat!
Oh and chocolate from the freezer -yum! I have to have mine out of the fridge but the freezer sounds an even better idea - I love the snap!
Have a lovely weekend.

I"m considering taking sugar again - I found a 'recipe' for making pink heart sugar cubes by mixing granulated sugar with pink colouring and a little water, press into a mini heart cutter then press out and leave to dry on greaseproof paper! Unless I start taking sugar in my tea I have no excuse to make them! (I don't think the builders I know would really appreciate how lovely they are!) t.x
