Nora Batty seems to be living here today as well, she seems to be spending quite a lot of time with us at the moment and is beginning to outstay her welcome!

Those french doors sounded fab-what a shame you couldn't fit them into your kitchen! Mind you, your kitchen is gorgeous anyway!

I completely understand, I had my hair cut last week and ever since I have felt like that! Why oh why does my hair never behave.

I have just started my blog and have added you to my favourites, hope that's OK :)

Why is it that when you're staying in and not seeing anybody your hair looks fine, but if you've got to go out it just won't behave?

I know, isn't this weather awful-so unpredictable! Still, I am quite enjoying pottering around at home!
And, I don't have to worry about what my hair looks like, although Tom has been calling me Wurzel today!!!

Hello! I just discovered your blog and have enjoyed reading through your posts. I love the one with the toys on the floor when you said you have to sweep them to the side to get a blog photo! SO funny! Sounds like the same things going on here...lol. Hope you don't mind if I add you to my contact list... I would love to come back to visit.

Have a great day! Heather

Hi
just catching up having been away.I have always had such straight hair that it stood out at right angles. I hit 59 and suddenly I have to buy hair straightners. Not that I can use them without burning my face fingers and neck. So I visit the hairdresser and ask "Whats this all about I havent changed my genes" Unable to supply a reason why I have now had it cut much shorter and leave it curly. So its MAD HAIR LIFE for me now.If only I ever looked like the first picture just one day would have been enough!!!!

Im back just looked at crocs picture I bought some last year and they are the most comfortable things that you can ever own for your feet and am considering buying a pair of their wellies for bad weather and gardening. They are fab for camping

And what is wrong with Nora? Britain was built by women with her, feisty women who knew how to tame men, none of this surrendered wife stuff. A woman who knew the wisdom of the ancients (and probably taught it to them, too!) And, above all, a woman who knew that love makes the world go round. I say, Hail to thee, blithe Nora, Dolly Bird thou never wert!

Wow, you feel like that sometimes! Whats in the water there? I am more of a Nora, you should see my hair right now, whilst writing this, oh and the crumpled up socks, jumper.....do I go on!
Just been catching up with your blog - I am for your choice in cushion arrangement! Lovely cushions by the way.
Wigs, wigs - I think they should be an essential part of family life, so much fun!

Hee Hee, yes I get those days why is is though that when you look in the mirror you may actually look like Nora Batty on a bad day but the good's never looks quite as good as you feel?? I'm still getting the hang of long hair so ihave far more bad days than good!

Well, I just nearly choked on my (large) piece of leftover birthday cake - so which do you guess I look like most of the time? I have to say, at least Nora looks comfy - that model must be holding everything in to the point of agony.

Long live cake & comfort ;-)

I think that I have been having Nora Batty hair days this week...it has been so hot (35C) and humid (40C humidex yesterday!!) that it is hard to look good. This is especially true if you have hair like mine that frizzes at the first sign of humidity. It wasn't only my hair that was wilting.
